Musicians — Leeds
A Party Hardly Photo
Party Hardly, Tom Barr (Vocals/Guitar), Matt Pownall (Vocals/Guitar), Stan Braddock (Vocals/Bass) & Lachlan Banner (Drums).
Leeds.
Soviet Bread Line.
Madness at Leeds Festival in 2011, they were amazing and there was a 300 person conga line during their set which was mental.
The Velvet Underground purely to be able to say we supported The Velvet Underground but also they're a big influence to us musically and Lou Reed was a fantastic songwriter, also The Kinks there'd be so many bangers to sing along all-time!
We’d say Britpop and the '90s as we all grew up on a lot of Britpop music, it felt very relatable for us at the time, the '90s was quite a vibrant time in terms of style too, but also the Skinheads for their outlandish Jamaican rude boy style and how they bridged the gap between two different cultures at the time, it’s a shame that the style was adopted by right-wing racists in the '70s.
Vlad the Impaler, and ask him what's his perfect Sunday?
It’s going to have to be the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds just an iconic and renowned UK venue and we get the pleasure of going there all the time as we all live just down the road.
John Otway, because he’s the patron saint of losers, like us.
Leeds Indie 4-piece Party Hardly will release their debut EP 'Cycle Of Life' in Autumn 2018. You can listen to the latest fuzzed out track 'Football' taken from the EP below.
'Smooth Criminal' by Michael Jackson. When I was a kid every Friday night my dad said TV’s were banned and we had to listen to vinyl all night. This was my first.
'Reptilia' by The Strokes.
'Sound of Silence' by Simon & Garfunkel.
You want this one to be turned up loud so no one can hear your tears.
'Fading Frontier' by Deerhunter.
"You've done too much, Much too young. Now you're married with a kid. When you could be having fun with me"
Reminds us of some of our friends back home that grew up too fast, so it’s inspired us to live life to the fullest.
'Imagine' by John Lennon. Will always be an all-time classic.
'Saturday Night' by Whigfield. We're those guys who always put it on the jukebox.
'Girls And Boys' by Blur.
'Tout Est Magnifique' by Jacques. When it’s starting to get a bit weird at the end of the night.
Crack Cloud, Halo Maud, Household Dogs, Mush, L.D Moses.
