Name, where are you from?
Tut Bread. I come from good ol’ Tainan – I welcome everyone to come to Tainan and have some fun!
What do you do
By day: I’ve been a software engineer for 7 and a half years, but am currently trying to pivot to sales. By night: 15 years as a street dance performer.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Soft Lipa’s 2010 three-city tour – that was my first concert ever. It’s truly an unforgettable experience for college students. On top of that, I also had my first shot of liquor there!
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Hop-hop… definitely hip-hop – it’s changed my life.
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Being on stage for the Kaoshiung New Year Eve’s concert, we were right in front of the Dream Mall. We were both happy and stressed to be invited. Actually, whether it’s a small stage in front of the district government office, or a large concert stage, every performance leaves a deep impression!
If you could be on the line up with any bands in history?
If we’re talking about street dancers, it would be Nam Hyun Joon from South Korea and Popping John from the USA. As for singers, GD and Soft Lipa have influenced me deeply. They influenced me a lot in many different stages of my life – if I had the opportunity to perform together with them, it would be a dream come true!
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I would want to spend that hour with my late Grandfather, whom I wasn’t able to see for the last time in the hospital when I was preparing for my college entrance exams. I’d want to find a restaurant and treat him to dinner, share with him what’s happened over the years and tell him that I’m doing well for myself now.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Everyone in this industry, including the listeners and fans, thank you for everything!

The first track you played on repeat?
'As Usual' by Lily Chou-Chou Lied. This song is so good!
A song that defines the teenage you?
If I were still 10 years old, it would be the theme song from the cartoon, Future GPX Cyber Formula…ha!
One record you would keep forever?
'1st' by Tyson Yoshi. There was a period of time, for about three or four months, where I would listen to this track on repeat while at work. I can’t really say why, but the track’s vibe really was perfect for me at that time.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
In each stage of life we have a different state of mind and are moved and touched by different songs. The first one that comes to mind is: 'Jager Bomb, my greatest love'.
Best song to turn up loud?
When I’m driving I need great vibes from a rap song – like something from Yeemao, MJ116 or Ching G Squad. If I’m showering, I’ll sing whatever I’ve been listening to.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'2 Seconds' by NICKTHEREAL. Although I’m listening to hip hop 90% of the time, I’ll occasionally still listen to some mainstream songs.
New bands you are listening to now?
Gong Jingwen, a contestant from a rap competition show called The Rappers. He combined melodies and funny lyrics, very unique – unfortunately, he was eliminated from the competition, but I really liked him.
