ELEPHANZ was created in January 2008 by two brothers from Nantes: Maxime & Jonathon Verleysen, 24 & 26 years old. ELEPHANZ presents a classy, effective and ultra-melodic pop music, which suggests their common influences: The Beatles, The Kinks, The Pixies, David Bowie or Neil Young.

A mastered, precise sound which could only be sung in Shakespeare's tongue. the both cynical and funny lyrics deal with relationships, girls, and the modern frustrated and disappointed anti-hero, but also with complicity and brotherhood.

ELEPHANZ released their first EP "Ideal Roommates" in September 2009. Their EP received a warm welcome amongst fans, blogs, websites but also in the press like in "Les Inrockuptibles".

Their growing reputation as highly talented pop songwriters enabled them to attend Rennes' Trans Musicales festival in December 2009; their performance was groovy, nervous and hectic, the crowd conquered!

In March 2010 Elephanz successfully won the "Chorus des Hauts de seine" award, - a much recognised prize among French music professionals. this gave them the chance to start working on their debut album, due in 2011. They also got signed at warner Chappell Music France (Publishing).
