Feine Sahne Fischfilet from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern did everything right. Their amazingly stupid bandname that can never be forgotten (why not – bands called “Broilers” managed to get in the charts!) and their antifascist attitude made them get attention very quickly – first in their region and not long after that in the whole country. In a region like Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where antifascist engagement is needed to protect yourself, the band represents a fun-loving contra without regard of their own loss, paired with a tendency to an excessive lifestyle.

Feine Sahne Fischfilet show us on their new record „Scheitern und Verstehen“ 11 new burner tracks that can be seen as a well done continuation of their former releases as well as a breakthrough in new dimensions. You can hear that they stay true to their punk-attitude that shows up in the songs – even though produced as clear as glass in the K-Klang Studio in Hamburg. “Scheitern und verstehen” is more than just the next nice soundtrack for a proper resistance. Feine Sahne Fischfilet managed to go beyond themselves and did an eclectic punkrock-record that is hard to categorize. It bounds anger, hope and joy of life in a unique way.
