Intoxicating alt-electro with UK/Persian heritage

Raphaella is a North London based writer/producer/singer who draws upon her Persian heritage to infuse her high energy electro with unexpected flourishes of traditional instrumentation.

Classically trained, and graduating top in her class with a 1st class honours degree in Music, Raphaella is a self-confessed book worm, drawing inspiration lyrically from Persian poets Rumi and Hafez as well as from her own experiences and the world around her.

As well as making music as an artist in her own right, Raphaella has also worked with Gorgon City and MNEK, Wilkinson, Sub Focus, Kove, Tough Love, Midnight City, Culture Shock and many more.

With well received live outings as diverse as BBC Introducing Presents, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, The Sundance Film Festival, ThisIsWired, and Roundhouse Rising, Raphaella will be turning her attentions to Dot to Dot at the end of May - playing Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham.
