TRWBADOR reside in rural West Wales from where they create a unique blend of dance floor tinged acoustic electronica that has been catching the attention of national journalists and broadcasters since 2010. All TRWBADOR music is released to the World via their very own cottage industry label Owlet Music. The duos songs have been sound tracking advert campaigns worldwide over the last 2 years and have been heard performed live across the UK’s biggest festivals.
Nominated for the Welsh Music Prize for their self-titled debut, August 11th will see the release of new album Several Animals. It sees TRWBADOR gradually leave the glitchy folk offerings of their debut and move forward with towards a more polished dance floor orientated sound.
The record features guest appearances from UK Hip Hop long timer ESSA aka Yungun (who features on ‘Breakthrough’) and ex Gorky's Zygotic Mynci songwriter Richard James.
The idea for the album initially came from an essay by French philosophers Deleuze & Guattari; that the album should work as a pack and to understand the message each song would need to be present, serving its function to the whole.
Each song was written specifically in relation to a personally experienced aspect of the human condition. The themes include evolution, procrastination, dissatisfaction, extinction and distraction. (these are written under the track list on the album).
