Albert Marzinotto

DJ / Producer — Venice

Name, where are you from?
Albert Marzinotto, I’m from Italy, Venice.

What do you do?
I’m a DJ & Producer.

Describe your style in three words?
Energetic, dynamic, eclectic.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
It’s not so easy to answer because I’ve seen lots of super clubs all around the world. I have a special memory of my tour in Mexico in 2014 and at that time I was in love with Osulnade – Envision.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history (and why)?
Obviously with The Beatles for their brilliant music and Coldplay for their dynamic lives.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
I have always studied the piano, so classical music.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I’d like to record Diana Ross’s voice in the studio and spend more time on the vocal techniques.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played in Italy, which is your favourite?
Not easy, I think 'Il Muretto' for the sound system and the energy of the people.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
David August, for me in one of the best producers in the last ten years. The track 'Agatha' is my favourite deep house track that I’ve ever heard in my life.
