A J.Chambers Photo
J.Chambers, Manchester.
Reggae hip-hop fusion.
Common at Gorrilla in Manchester. Common is my all-time favourite MC and to see him in such a small venue was amazing, it's definitely one that will stay with me forever.
Damian Marley and Nas, their fusion on the 'Distant Relatives' album was something that inspired me and my music would be complementary to the vibe of the overall show.
'90s Hip-hop culture is a big influence, but also Jamaican culture growing up listening to certain artists in the household, watching Jamaican films all had a huge impact on my construct of identity growing up.
Tupac Shakur, I feel like he was so multifaceted every fan has a different side or persona of him that they hold on to. I’d love to pick his brains and find out what he was just like on the regular.
Loppen in Copenhagen, Probably some of my favourite memories are within Christiania, Copenhagen. The vibe, the music, the energy was just cool.
Probably Wale, I feel like his fusion of poetry and rap is soo underrated. He doesn’t try to be anything other than himself and that individualistic voice really stood out to me and had an impact.
'Hills and Valleys' by Buju Banton.
'Hate It Or Love It' by The Game.
'The People' by Common.
Street knowledge amazes the scholars, when we coin phrases for dollars”
From 'Sauce Money On Bring It On' By Jay -Z (Reasonable Doubt).
'Sue Me' by Wale.
'KMT' by Drake Ft Giggs.
'Let It Bleed' by The Used.
'Ye' by Burna Boy.
'Level Up' by Popcaan.
I was kinda late to the party but really loving Lila Ike’s stuff at the moment.
