03Interview

Name, where are you from?
Laura Prim, Barcelona.

What do you do?
Creative and Art Direction.

Describe your style in three words?
Minimalist while daring and comfortable.

What's the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Masego / The xx.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
The Blaze and Bon Iver.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Absolutely, I think your style may be more influenced when you're younger, but it's true that I never cared how I dressed and what people listened to. I only let myself be carried away by my tastes, no matter how much I did not follow fashion at that time and sometimes they pointed me out for it. I didn't identify with a single urban tribe. I’ve always liked different musical variants, just like in fashion. I have never followed a social pattern.

If you could spend an hour with someone from history?
Frida Kahlo. I'd love to hear her stories... She always tried to do things differently, defying stereotypes.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Moby. I feel that he has a super special sensitivity. I also love that his values, one of them, veganism, can reach so many people since he manifests it many times musically.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
I do not remember. But the track that has given me strength this week is: 'Are You Talking To Me?' by Torpedo Boyz, Returner.

A song that defines the teenage you?
It's very difficult to leave it at just one, but I'm going to say: 'Ready or not' by Fugees.

One record you would keep forever?
Soundtrack to 'My Girl'.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
'Plastic 100ºC' by Sampha.

A song you wished you had written?
'Alternate World' by Son Lux.

Best song to turn up loud?
All of them, I am a real fan of listening to music at full volume.

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Não Me Deixe Só' by Vanessa Da Mata.

The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Pump up the Jam' by Technotronic.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Esperanza' by Hermanos Gutierrez.

Any new bands you are into at the moment?
If I choose one, I would be lying. I need to listen to as much different music as possible throughout the day and at each moment... I'm connected to many different styles.
