03Interview

Name, where are you from?
Tia O’Donnell, born and raised in London. But my second home is in County Kerry, Ireland.

What do you do?
I am an Artist, Illustrator and Model currently studying at CSM.

Describe your style in three words?
Beyond the pale.

Which music defines the teenage you?
I have been to the year three thousand, not much has changed but they lived underwater. (Obviously Busted)

What has been your all-time favourite gig?
Got to be Bombay Bicycle Club when I was roughly 15, I was trampled on in an indie mosh pit. So rock and roll.

What is your favourite independent venue to watch live music?
My local pub. Or any old pub, to be honest, the more intimate the better.

Do you have a favourite local record shop?
Alan’s Records in good old East Finchley! Such a hidden gem, thank me later.

Tell us about the illustration which you drew for Record Store Day?
I designed this illustration in tribute to my Grandpa Bapa. He was an avid vinyl collector and is the reason why I am so heavily invested. Bapa introduced me to one of my favourite songs Herb Alpert - ‘The Lonely Bull’ and funnily enough he does remind me of a lonely bull. Rest in peace Bapa.
