Name, where are you from?
Yumingrow, Japan.

What do you do?
Pro BMX rider/Artist.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
I don’t have one yet so I want to go and see gigs.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
BMX all the way. I got an international sponsorship during high school and I knew I wanted to be a professional rider already. It taught me that if you keep believing in yourself and keep working harder than others, your dreams can come true.

Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
My venue as a rider would be the street. Freedom and thrills.

If you could be on the line up with any bands in history?
I’m currently painting so I’d love to do a live painting with chill sounds of Incognito.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I’d go see Pablo Picasso to see the brush works with my own eyes.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
London Funk Allstars.

04Playlist Notes

The first track you played on repeat?
I don’t recall it.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Above The Night' by Incognito. I’ve been listening to it since middle school. It reminds me of the time I used to ride from one morning till the next morning.

One record you would keep forever?
I don’t have one. I would make sound out of a wood and the wind.

A song lyric that has inspired you?
"don't be afraid to step into the darkness..."

From 'Keep The Fires Burning' by Incognito. I felt related hearing that part.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Emergency On The Planet Earth' by Jamiroquai. It makes me want to sing it when I feel our earth is being destroyed.

New bands you are listening to now?
London Funk Allstars.
