Exciting, new Cardiff band, Boy Azooga have shared a new video for 'Jerry', the latest song to be taken from their debut album '1,2 Kung Fu!', slated for release via Heavenly Recordings on Friday 8th June (2018).

"Jerry is one of the oldest songs on the album. I took inspiration from a song called Do I Get So Shy by Shoes, it's understated and calm with sweet lyrics. I like how the singer is asking questions in the lyrics of that song, it makes it more vulnerable." - Davey Newington, Boy Azooga

Boy Azooga centres around Davey Newington. Coming from a very musical family, Davey has been able to draw upon a huge breadth of musical influence. From his grandfather's background as a jazz drummer to his parents' meeting when they played violin and clarinet respectively for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, music was always going to play a big part in his life. Drawing together their diverse influences the genetics of the Boy Azooga sound can be traced back to the like of Can, Ty Segall, Beastie Boys and fellow countrymen The Super Furry Animals.
