Released this week, "LUX" is Brian Eno's third album on Warp Records, but surprisingly, perhaps, it is his first solo album for the label, indeed it is his first solo outing since 2005's "Another Day On Earth". Needing little introduction in the world of electronic music, Eno has worked with with artists, as collaborator and producer, including Roxy Music, David Byrne, David Bowie, U2 and Jah Wobble - the list of eminent peers is near endless.

Not only is "LUX" his first solo album in six years but it is also sees Eno return to the musical topography mapped on the covers of albums such as "Music for Airports", "Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks" and his Ambient series from the late 1970s and early 1980s. In fact, the album was previewed in Haneda Airport, Tokyo, last week, for anyone doubting its suitability for interior spaces associated with long distance travel! Eno's output from this prolific era represents a collection of albums cited as inspiration and innovator by electronic musicians of every shape and size for the best part of four decades.

So, anything promising to further chart Eno's musical landscape is well worth investigating.

As ever rejecting the established album format, this ambitious 75-minute composition, split into twelve sections, evolved from a work currently housed in the Great Gallery of the Palace of Venaria in Turin, Italy.

LUX tracklist is as follows:
1. LUX 1 (19.22)
2. LUX 2 (18.14)
3. LUX 3 (19.19)
4. LUX 4 (18.28)

Physical formats of the album include four respectively sized art prints for listeners (see image above): Vinyl (Double 180g DMM-cut LP in gatefold sleeve with 4 x 300x300mm prints and download redemption code card), CD (CD in gatefold sleeve with 4 x 120x120mm prints)

"LUX" is released on November 12 2012 (13 in N. America) on CD and Download, and December 10 2012 (11 in N. America) on LP on Warp Records.
