Singer/Songwriter — Shrewsbury
A Dan Owen Photo
Dan Owen
Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Sing songs, bash my guitar...
Casual, laid back, easy - three words that basically mean jeans and a t-shirt!
'At Last' by Etta James.
It’s definitely got to be Biffy Clyro.
Paolo Nutini, Joe Cocker, Blossoms. 'Funky Cigarette' by Paolo Nutini is gold.
Ray Charles, because he would have one hell of a story to tell.
I identify quite a lot with the punk movement, even though you wouldn’t think that by looking at me or listening to my music. It’s liberating. My uncle used to be a punk and nowadays that comes out after he’s had a few pints!
It would have to be Queen! I would have to step up my performance game though!
Classic rock. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy. ’Stairway to Heaven’ by Led Zep reminds me of a battle of the bands at school.
Probably something like 'Tears Don’t Fall' by Bullet For My Valentine.
‘Southeastern’ by Jason Isbell. Track ‘Live Oak’.
'Caroline' by Kill It Kid.
'Why Don’t You Get A Job?' by The Offspring.
Harry Styles’s debut album.
"The show must go on."
'The Show Must Go On' by Queen.
'Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites' by Skrillex.
'Walkin Man' by Seasick Steve.
'Oh My Darling Don't Cry' by Run the Jewels.
I really like her voice, it’s really gentle but a bit raspy too which makes it interesting.
it was released the same day as my single, ‘Moonlight’, and it’s just really happy. Makes me feel like going on a road trip.
I know this isn’t new but this is like a timeless, classic song. Makes me want to dance and I hate dancing.
Conor’s (lead singer) voice is so different to mine.
