Minimal, Noir, Raw.

What does the Fred Perry Shirt mean to you?
Iconic.

High School? But I was never that creative till the first year of University, from then on, it was all hell breaks loose.

What inspires your work?
Music, it always sets the mood and sparks inspirations.

'You’ll Never Walk Alone' by Gerry & The Pacemakers.

Who is your ultimate British musical icon?
John Lennon. Period.

What was the best gig you've been to?
Radiohead, Fujirock 2012. It was my first proper music festival, and to be able to watch Radiohead live was a milestone in my life, I teared up.

A song that defines the teenage you?
'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by The Verve. I still listen to this song every now and then.

What bands have you been listening to recently?
Superorganisms and Glim Spanky. You might want to check out, Japanese Breakfast and No Party for Cao Dong too.

04Playlist Notes

'Wake Up' by Arcade Fire.
My alarm is set to this tune; it is such an upper of a song and sets the mood of my day.

'Girls and Boys' by Blur.
A song that relives my youth and also the nights out clubbing with Twilightaction Girl.

'Common People' by Pulp.
How brilliant is this song?! Jarvis Cocker’s is the bomb!

'Maps' by Yeah Yeah Yeah.
Karen O is my ultimate rockstar.

'Baby I’m Yours' by Arctic Monkeys.
Who doesn’t love Alex? This song is just perfect and it’s my to-go-to mushy track whenever I feel the need to be mushy.

'Never Forget' by Take That.
Yes I was a fan, and yes I was heartbroken when they disbanded, but never forget where you’ve come here from.

'Tessellate' by Alt-J.
It was back in 2012 at Fujirock that I first watched them live and fell in love with their sound immediately. This song is so raunchy and so geeky at the same time. Otaku Love.

'Fake Plastic Trees' by Radiohead.
Hands down, my favourite track from Radiohead. I am still waiting for them to play it live so there will be a huge tear eyed sing-along session.

'Blue Blood' by Foals.
2011, Laneway Festival, Fort Cannings, Singapore. It rained so heavily during their set, and this song just murdered it! Epic night ever!

'Better Days' by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.
The song that came to mind post May 9th of the 14th General Elections in Malaysia.

'Half The World Away' by Oasis.
One can safely say Oasis is my all time favourite band… (after The Beatles and Radiohead) I literally grew up with their music! Noel is God!
I play this song mostly after a stressful or long day at work. Light a ciggie and day dream.

'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by The Verve.
The song that defines Vincent Paul Yong.
