MR.MUSCLE and K.H.A - Melbourne city.

What do you do?
Make music representing our life and journey and the people around us in our environment.

Describe your style in three words?
Real, raw and authentic.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to in Australia?
K&M: We both agree that ROADBLOCK, a local DnB / grime party that had all the heads inside. was mental. underground shit.

Which Australian subcultures have influenced you?
Hip-hop, DnB / grime, graffiti, skate, hardcore, techno - the collective energies of street scenes that Melbourne embodied and came together constantly that inspired our lifestyle in the city.

Best Australian musician?
M: Alex Jones. Lyricism and his artistry is second to none. Facts. And if you gave him a booth you would get gold albums one after another.
K: Brad Strut. Tha original don made me wanna spit!!!!!!

Where is your favourite independent venue in Australia?
SECTION 8, right in the centre of the city and always has been a hub for mad shit and central to all missions.

What is Australia’s best-kept secret?
Posseshot Melbourne in full effect.

Best place to hang out in Australia?
MELBOURNE CBD, The vibrance and diversity makes it always exciting and the food is always on point.

M: 'Hit 'em Up' by 2Pac. First track I got off Napster and I thought it was hard as f**k - was the first diss track I heard.
K: 'Trylogy' by Kurupt. Heard it on a skate video and rinsed it flat out in my brother's iPod!! str8 from Limewire.

A song that defines the teenage you?
M: 'Dammit' by Blink 182. Teenage angst.
K: 'FTS' by Showtek. If you know you most definitely know.

One record you would keep forever?
M: 'Hegelian Dialectic'. IYKYK.
K: 'H.N.I.C' by Prodigy. Cos it's the blueprint for hardcore street hip-hop.

M: Rollin' by Limp Bizkit. It's my jam. f**k tha haters.

M: 'Chrysalis' by Empire Of The Sun. To set some soft cheese, quince paste vibes.
K: 'Pick Up!' by Alex Gas. So I can fake fall asleep and everyone leaves.

K: Love Mall Grab, not a band but what he's putting out is on point all round.
M: G.M. ROCK. 'Cos he’s bringing that raw authentic flavour back and his gritty lyricism!
