Lauren Henson aka Indiana is a Nottingham producer-singer who makes downbeat disco-electronica.

Having been on the Fred Perry Subculture radar for sometime now, Indiana has been making waves with her unique moody-pop and sultry, outstanding vocals. Indiana delivers the subtler, cooler edge of pop, refusing to be defined by formulaic, 'obvious pop' conventions and instead positioning herself amongst acts such as London Grammar, The xx, James Blake and Banks.

Indiana has just released her debut album No Romeo, a 19 track full-length with the single releases having been rolling out thick and fast over the past year and half, complete with highly produced videos and rave reviews, displaying just how hard the artist has been working, and to great effect! Daring and innovative, No Romeo is haunting synthpop, moody r 'n b, and sophisticated electronica with influences ranging from Gary Numan to The xx to Frank Ocean.

The most played to date, 'Solo Dancing' is a catchy dance-pop tune which received airplay from Radio 1 and other major music channels.

'Smoking Gun' is an urgent, angsty tune with powerful, ascending melodies and effectively placed pulsating basslines swooping in for a powerful, all-encompassing chorus.

'Animal' is arguably one of the best on the album, as a minimal, pulsating track driven by reverb-heavy vocals with dark and somewhat macabre lyrics.

'Heart on Fire' takes a more obvious pop-sensibility, hot on the heels of Ellie Goulding and Tove Lo.

'Blind as I am' was one of Indiana's first releases, and was the song she wrote which originally got her noticed within the music industry. Showing off her full singing range, and unique vocal texture, the song is a hauntingly soulful ballad with just the right amount of percussion and synth to compliment this superbly powerful melody.
