A Agent blå Photo
Name, where are you from?
We are Emelie, Lucas, Felix, Tobias, Arvid and Basta. We’re from Gothenburg, Sweden, and we’re called Agent blå.
What do you do?
Multidisciplinary artists who happen to have a band together.
Describe your style in three words?
We can’t choose.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Not an isolated gig but we had a great time at the Creepy Teepee festival in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic when we played there in 2017. They had a really good line up that year but the most memorable show was probably The Empire Line.
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
New Order and Iron Maiden, two great bands and with us, it makes three.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
Skinheads and British punk, because of their aesthetic and music taste; Cowboys, because of their boots, and the La Sape, who show that great style is not a question of class.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
We would do a one hour oneshot with Mat Mercer from Critical Role.
Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Back in 2017, we were kindly invited to play at a festival called Indiefjord in Bjørke, Norway. It’s a yearly thing organized by a family who lives in the area, and it’s easily one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited. The festival is surrounded by big mountains, waterfalls, and a fjord which we took a swim in of course. A real fairy tale experience.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Zac Pennington, without a doubt. He’s one of the founders of Parenthetical Girls, Comedienne and now Popular Music - portraying “the musical language of the 20th Century”. Such a talented musician, lyricist and a huge inspiration.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Whirlwind' by Broder Daniel.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Running' by Lust For Youth.
One record you would keep forever?
'A New Chance' by The Tough Alliance.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
“You've made your name
And trouble loves the cuckold of acclaim
These kids can't sense the difference either way
And can you blame them?
When all my memories now bear your name
And sure, we've been blessed
Well... more or less”
From 'Someone Else’s Muse' by Parenthetical Girls.
A song you wished you had written?
'A Thousand Miles' by Vanessa Carlton.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Doorman' by Slowthai & Mura Masa.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Play on Playa' by Detroit’s Filthiest.
The song that would get you straight on the dance floor?
'Mutant Exotic' by LSDXOXO.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Common Sense' by Viagra Boys.
Any new bands you are into at the moment?
Sipper, with one of their many new singles 'Mall Goths' has been a constant earworm, along with Viji’s unmissable tune 'Suck It'. Also, Ant Wan put out a very good record this year called 'Leylas World', there’s some Swedish rap for you.
