03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Androgynous & Non Conformist.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Björk - It's Oh So Quiet

This was a song I first heard on TV as a child, and I'd always ask my parents to play is so I could run around the house and dance to it!

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

Beastie Boys - Sure Shot

This is a pretty tricky one, I love music so picking a favourite is hard, but this track is one I absolutely love and always played loud!

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Rolling Stones - Paint It, Black

Saw them a few years ago in Coventry. One of the best experiences, saw them with my dad who has been into them for years and he asked me to go with him because although he'd seen them before he wanted to see them with his daughter so just a lovely memory to have.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Black Box - Ride On Time

Honestly just can't help but dance to this!

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

Etta Bond - Let Me Hit It

I just think she's incredible, to only is she incredibly talented but also stands up for women, body image and positivity!

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

Beastie Boys - Root Down

I feel like I already answered this with my song from my favourite album, so to switch it up I chose this. I guess any song off this album played loud is amazing! I love to just put it on in my house and play it as loud as possible!

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

The Libertines - Death On The Stairs

I guess this just reminds me of being at school, when I had nothing to worry about, just going out with my mates and going to loads of gigs.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

Ocean Colour Scene - The Riverboat Song

I guess it's just one of them songs that reminds me of growing up, and one me and my mates all sing along to.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Jimmy "Bo" Horne - I Can't Speak

I mean if we are talking of going to a soul nighter it would have to be this for me, it's one of my favourite soul tracks, the lyrics and his voice are beautiful.
