Name, where are you from?
We are called SORRY, from North London, Asha and I (Louis) are old friends, Lincoln our drummer lives on Ashas Road, Campbell Baum our bassist we met at the Windmill and Marco our newest member who plays synths and electronics live is an old friend of ours. Although we all became much closer through music we began as friends.

Describe your style in three words?
Sporadic, messy, confusing.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Portishead live at Latitude a couple of years ago was an amazing gig for me, their songs are so good live, and the stage design was really captivating. Was a really memorable experience, They have a great live album called Portishead Live At Roseland, NYC and do an amazing rendition of sour times on that... really beautiful.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Maybe us, then Coco Rosie, then Elliot Smith, would be an intense gig, but also a very pretty gig...

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Asha and I were big into the 2013-2016 underage rave scene, regression sessions, and UTR etc, Also the '90s Seattle scene is a very cool and important subculture for us, baggy jeans although sad, are honest and it is inspiring.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Maybe Nina Simone, she was incredibly influential. Her voice could move a nation to reform, she also seemed very nice and genuine so would like to have a couple of beers with Nina.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
The Windmill, nothing compares to that place, the people, Tim Perry (legendary booker) and Seamus have created a wonderful environment. It champions upcoming bands and is just a good time all round.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Arthur Russell, he didn't release any music before his untimely passing, so he would have never known how much his music now means to people. That's a sad thought, but I'm glad over time he has kind of got the recognition he deserves... His songs are genre-bending and his lyrics and songwriting are up there with the best of them, also an amazing cello player and composer, he is very underrated.
